Environmental impact management and assessment

Environmental impact management and assessment carried out by highly experienced professionals, with tailored, detailed analyses according to the requirements of each project.

Special Environmental Authorization (AAE)

Preparation of the environmental impact study for the project to be carried out, in accordance with DINAMA requirements, as well as handling of the various aspects required for the AAE application process.

The AAE application process applies to all activities covered by Art. 25 of Decreto 349/005 that were built or put into operation without having applied for the Prior Environmental Authorization (AAP). The various aspects involved in the AAE application process are:

  • Effluents: assessment and design of effluent treatment plants.
  • Solid waste: preparation of Solid Waste Management Plans (PGRS).
  • Operational Environmental Management Plan (PGAO).
  • Other emissions: diagnosis and assessment of atmospheric, noise, groundwater and/or soil emissions, together with advice on mitigating the associated impacts.

Environmental Operating Authorization (AAO)

Collection of information and preparation of the technical documentation required by the competent environmental authority to obtain the AAO under Decreto 349/005: effluents, solid waste, PGAO, among others.

All activities, constructions or works that have received a Prior Environmental Authorization (AAP) and fall under items 5 and 6, 9 to 13, 15 to 17, 19 to 23, 35 and 37, as set out in Article 2 of Decreto 349/005, are required to apply for an AAO. The aspects assessed within the process are:

  • Effluents: assessment and design of effluent treatment plants.
  • Solid waste: preparation of Solid Waste Management Plans (PGRS).
  • Operational Environmental Management Plan (PGAO).
  • Other emissions: diagnosis and assessment of atmospheric, noise, groundwater and/or soil emissions, together with advice on mitigating the associated impacts.

The AAO is an authorization that must be renewed every 3 years.

Effluent Management

Design of engineering projects for wastewater treatment and the associated procedures before DINAMA (preparation of the Discharge / Industrial Discharge Authorization Request).

We design engineering projects for wastewater treatment and handle the approval process before DINAMA by preparing the SADI or SAD, as applicable.

  • The Industrial Discharge Authorization Request (SADI) applies to all industrial facilities whose processes generate wastewater of any kind.
  • The Discharge Authorization Request (SAD) applies to all facilities that generate wastewater and are covered by the regulations or specifically requested by the MVOTMA, such as dairy farms and cattle feedlots located in the Santa Lucía River basin.

Facilities with an approved SAD/SADI must submit an IAO at the frequency established by the authorities.

Environmental Operation Report (IAO)

Preparation of IAOs and their submission to DINAMA; reports are submitted every six months or annually, depending on the size of the facility.

The report must be submitted by facilities with an approved Discharge / Industrial Discharge Authorization Request (SAD/SADI), or by those that have been required to submit it due to particular circumstances.

Solid Waste Management

Diagnosis of the waste generated by the industry or facility in order to determine its characteristics, categorize it correctly and subsequently propose its appropriate final disposal, through the preparation of the Solid Waste Management Plan (PGRS), as set out in Decreto 182/013.

Submission of the PGRS to DINAMA is required for all activities covered by RM 1708/013, issued by the Ministerio de Vivienda, Ordenamiento Territorial y Medio Ambiente (Ministry of Housing, Land Planning and Environment). The main activities to be carried out include:

  • Waste characterization, in order to define its final disposal.
  • Internal management: assessment of the conditions of the temporary storage site and advice on its preparation (segregation and labeling).
  • External management: advice on selecting waste management providers for the transport and final disposal of the waste.
  • Preparation of the waste management monitoring and control plan, including indicators that facilitate the process.

In addition, those with a DINAMA-approved PGRS must submit an annual Solid Waste Sworn Statement.

Waste Sworn Statements

Preparation of the annual Solid Waste Sworn Statements and their submission to DINAMA.

Annual submission of the statement is required for all facilities with an approved Waste Management Plan, in accordance with Art. 13 of Decreto 182/013. We handle the preparation of the annual Solid Waste Sworn Statements and their submission to DINAMA.
